Photo cutout tool

Cut out
anything

Isolate the subject of any photo and get back just the subject. People, products, animals, objects — whatever the photo's about, that's what you get. Everything else removed.

— What this does

Inkurs is a free photo cutout tool that isolates the main subject of any image and returns it as a transparent PNG. The model handles portraits, products, animals, and objects equally well. Free, no signup, no watermark, deleted in 60 seconds.

01 / 01 / What is a cutout

Cutouts vs
background removal.

A cutout and a background removal are the same thing from different angles. Background removal asks 'remove the background and keep the subject.' A cutout asks 'isolate this subject from its scene.' The result is identical: a transparent PNG with just the subject. Inkurs does both with the same model.

— Frequently asked

Common questions.

What's the difference between a cutout and a background remover?
None functionally — both produce a transparent PNG with just the subject. 'Cutout' frames the action as isolating the subject; 'background removal' frames it as removing the surroundings. Inkurs does both with the same tool and same model.
Does it work on group photos with multiple subjects?
Yes — by default it isolates all subjects (people, objects) and removes only the background. To isolate a single specific person from a group, manual selection is needed; that capability is on the Pro roadmap.
Can I cut out just one part of a photo, like a face?
Currently inkurs cuts out the full subject. To isolate just a face or specific region, do the cutout first, then crop in any image editor. Selective region cutout is on the longer-term roadmap.
Is inkurs really free with no signup?
Inkurs is free for single-image use with no account, no email, no watermark, and no daily limit. Pro at $3/month adds bulk uploads and API access. The single-image tool stays free, forever.
Do you store or train on my uploaded images?
Inkurs deletes both the uploaded file and the processed output from its servers within 60 seconds of your download. We do not train AI models on user images, share data with advertisers, or retain copies. Privacy policy →
What image formats and sizes does inkurs accept?
Inkurs accepts PNG, JPG, WEBP, HEIC, and BMP files up to 20MB on the free tier. Output is a transparent PNG by default; WEBP is also available. Pro extends the file size cap and adds 8K output.
How does inkurs compare to removebg and Photoroom?
Inkurs gives full HD output free with no signup, while removebg gates HD behind a paid account ($9.99/mo) and Photoroom requires signup for most features ($12.99/mo). Inkurs Pro is $3/month flat. Detailed comparison →
