02 / 02 / Hard cases

Hard product cases
we handle well.

Generic background removers were trained on people and pets. Product photography has its own failure modes.

— 01

Reflective metal & glass

Watches, jewelry, glassware. Inkurs uses edge contrast not just color — reflections don't get mistaken for background.

— 02

Jewelry chains & holes

Necklaces have dozens of small gaps. Inkurs correctly cuts interior negative space, leaving real transparency.

— 03

Translucent items

Perfume bottles, frosted plastic. Alpha channel through the subject preserved correctly.

— 04

Soft floor shadows

By default, cast shadows on the floor are removed. Pro will add a toggle to preserve them.

— 05

White on white

White ceramics on white seamless. Inkurs reads texture, not just color difference.

— 06

Fabric, fur, hair

Knit sweaters, plush toys, wigs. High-resolution pass preserves strand-level detail.

— Frequently asked

Common questions.

Will the output meet Amazon's pure-white main-image requirement?
Inkurs gives you a transparent PNG. To meet Amazon's pure-white rule, place the PNG on a pure white canvas in any image editor (Photoshop, Canva, even Preview). Pro will add a one-click 'place on white' option.
Does it handle jewelry chains and intricate gaps?
Yes — these are cases inkurs handles particularly well. Necklace chains, ring holes, earring posts, and similar interior negative space are preserved correctly with real alpha transparency through the gaps.
Can I keep the product's drop shadow?
Hard shadows attached to the subject are kept by default. Cast shadows on the floor or backdrop are removed with the background. Pro adds a manual toggle to preserve cast shadows for lifestyle product shots.
Is inkurs really free with no signup?
Inkurs is free for single-image use with no account, no email, no watermark, and no daily limit. Pro at $3/month adds bulk uploads and API access. The single-image tool stays free, forever.
Do you store or train on my uploaded images?
Inkurs deletes both the uploaded file and the processed output from its servers within 60 seconds of your download. We do not train AI models on user images, share data with advertisers, or retain copies. Privacy policy →
What image formats and sizes does inkurs accept?
Inkurs accepts PNG, JPG, WEBP, HEIC, and BMP files up to 20MB on the free tier. Output is a transparent PNG by default; WEBP is also available. Pro extends the file size cap and adds 8K output.
